Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services of Mountain Med Consulting ("Mountain Med," "we," or "us"), you ("you" or "Participant") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service, our cancellation policy, and all relevant rules and procedures that apply to our courses. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Enrollment
To enroll in a course, visit the designated course page on our website and follow the booking link. If you need additional guidance to select the right course, please reach out to us via email or phone. A full tuition payment is required to confirm your spot. For custom courses, we will provide a detailed proposal, and terms will be outlined in the Course Agreement.
3. Payment
Upon registration, we will send you an email confirming the course fee including GST. Payment is due in full at registration, and payment can be made via e-transfer to mountainmedconsulting@gmail.com. Please note that pre-course materials, if required, will not be distributed until payment has been completed.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
To cancel a course, please notify us by email. The following fees apply based on when we receive your written cancellation notice:
More than 60 days before course start: Full refund minus a $45 registration fee. For courses including mailed textbooks, the refund will exclude $95 ($45 registration + $50 textbook and shipping).
60 to 14 days before course start: 50% refund of course fees. If we can find someone to fill your spot, only the $45 admin fee and any applicable textbook fees will be retained.
14 days or less before course start: No refund unless we find a replacement; if so, only the $45 admin fee and any applicable textbook fees will be retained.
Mountain Med Cancellations: If we cancel a course due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, we will offer either an alternate date/location or a full credit for future use. We are not liable for non-refundable travel or other personal expenses.
COVID-19 Guarantee: If you are unable to attend a course or must leave early due to a COVID-19-related issue, you will receive a credit to attend the same course within 18 months or transfer the credit to another individual.
5. Course Preparation
Upon enrollment, you will receive a confirmation email and an Info Pack detailing the course outline, packing list, directions, and other essential information to help you prepare. Please ensure you review and prepare accordingly.
6. Course Flexibility and Participant Responsibility
Our courses require a degree of flexibility. Course locations and itineraries may change due to local conditions. By participating, you agree to comply with instructor authority during training and acknowledge that group settings may require compromise for the benefit of all.
7. Liability and Risk Acknowledgment
All Participants are required to complete a Liability Release and Indemnity Agreement and may choose to sign a photo release. Participants must understand the risks involved in outdoor and wilderness training and accept personal responsibility for their participation.
8. Accessibility and Inclusivity
